Collection Policy | Collection Guide ![]() During 2005 an archival program was established by the College to identify and preserve the many historical records, artefacts and memorabilia that have been donated and collected throughout the years. At this point in time many records and objects have been catalogued and organized. The records represent the many developmental changes that St. Patrick's College and its amalgamation partners have undergone over the years since the commencement of Catholic Education in Northern Tasmania. Records and objects contained in the Archives are from the following Catholic Colleges of Launceston: Sacred Heart College, St. Thomas More's College, Marian College, St. Patrick's College - York Street and St. Patrick's College- Prospect Vale.
Records and objects held within the archives date back to the late 1800's (material
collected by the first Christian Brothers at St. Patrick's College, Launceston),
to the present day. Material contained in the archives provides the College
community with an authentic account of its formation, past, and continuing
significance in the broader community.
