Prayer & Liturgy

Liturgies and masses are an essential part of the life at St Patrick’s College.  These special occasions are overseen by the Director of Catholic Identity and Mission.

I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

— John 6:35

Special occasions include:

  • St Patrick’s Day Mass
  • End of Year Mass
  • Ash Wednesday & Holy Thursday Liturgies
  • House Masses & Weekly Chapels
  • Remembrance Day Service

A Launceston Parish Mass is held each Sunday morning in the College Chapel commencing at 9.00am and all are welcome to attend. Members of the St Patrick’s College community are especially encouraged to attend the Parish Family Mass on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Daily prayer also forms a vital aspect of the College’s faith expression.  Tutor teachers are encouraged to begin the school day with a prayer and all gatherings, including assemblies and meetings, commence with prayer.

A sacramental program is offered to students and their families through the Launceston Parish.
