The Student Wellbeing Support Services (SWSS) team works to ensure that our students are supported to achieve positive outcomes.

The (SWSS) team is a multidisciplinary group consisting of social workers, psychologists, and a Student Wellbeing Support Officer. This is a free and confidential service available to all students at St Patrick’s College, focusing on assessment and intervention for educational, social, and emotional needs.

Specialist Roles:

  • Psychologists: Work holistically to assist student development, test for specific learning disorders, and help set up critical adjustments for learning.
  • Social Workers: Identify barriers to learning, development and adjustment, assisting students to achieve healthy growth and positive outcomes using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and solution-focused interventions.
  • Student Wellbeing Support Officer: Works with students as a mentor, where appropriate, and with students who may be dysregulated and require supervision and care for short periods of time through the school day.

The SWSS team contributes to the College’s inclusive practice by working in partnership with the Inclusive Learning Faculty and the Pastoral Care and Curriculum teams, to ensure that every student is supported.
