Applicants for teaching positions must be registered as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania or be able to obtain this registration before their employment commencement date. 

Applicants for all other positions must have or be eligible for registration to hold a child-related position within the Tasmanian Catholic Education System (involving Registration to Work with Vulnerable People and a National Police Record Check).

St Patrick’s College has an exciting permanent part time Library Technician opportunity for a passionate, organised and resourceful individual with a love for books and education to join our vibrant and bustling Mary MacKillop Library. As one of our Library Technicians you will assist with the daily operations of the Library, including assisting students and staff with reader advisory and circulation; research and information retrieval; maintaining the Library’s digital and physical collections; original cataloguing; daily administration and communications; and supporting the literacy and learning initiatives of the College. You will ensure the Library is a welcoming and efficient space for classes, study and access to resources, ensuring the information and education needs of the students and staff at St Patrick’s College are met, whilst building a positive library experience for all.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistants, who are strongly committed to the ethos and practices of Catholic Education and possess a genuine desire to support the holistic development of young people to join our Inclusive Learning team. We have multiple permanent part time positions available, commencing in Term 3, 2024, working up to 5 days a week (55 hours per fortnight).

As a Teacher Assistant you will work closely with students with additional needs, providing the support and guidance they require to succeed in an inclusive learning environment. This role involves assisting teachers in supporting participation and learning for students across the full range of physical and intellectual abilities and from diverse linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will provide support to teachers in the delivery of outlined educational programs and activities and interventions for students to help create a supportive atmosphere that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

St Patrick’s College is seeking to employ a permanent part time (0.46 FTE) Inclusive Learning Administration Assistant to join our Inclusive Learning team. We are seeking someone who is highly organised, tech-savvy and has a genuine desire to support the holistic development of young people. The Administration Assistant – Inclusive Learning provides essential administrative support to the Inclusive Learning team, handling communications with parents, visitors, staff, and students. The role involves establishing and maintaining efficient systems and procedures alongside the Director and Coordinators to meet school requirements and deadlines. Key responsibilities include developing positive relationships within the school community, assisting in the organisation and proofreading of student Learning Plans, coordinating teacher feedback, and ensuring accurate uploads to the school and Catholic Education Tasmania database. Additionally, the assistant will handle both confidential and non-confidential reports and correspondence, maintain electronic and manual records, perform data entry, and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
