Our College provides a comprehensive range of high-standard sporting facilities designed to support physical education, competitive sports, and personal fitness.

Indoor Sports & Fitness

  • Nano Nagle Gymnasium: Our primary indoor arena, catering to basketball, netball, volleyball, and health and fitness (HPE) classes. It features retractable seating for large-scale events and an adjacent, fully equipped weights room for strength and conditioning.
  • Weights Room: Located adjacent to the Nano Nagle Gym, this facility is utilised for HPE classes, allowing students to develop strength, conditioning, and fitness under staff supervision.
  • Barrett Gymnasium: A versatile space utilised for badminton, table tennis, and HPE classes. It also provides an additional full-sized basketball court.
  • Swimming Pool: A 25-metre, four-lane indoor heated pool used for HPE classes, swimming trials, and team training throughout the year.

All-Weather & Court Sports

  • Astro Courts: This synthetic, multi-purpose area includes a 70m running track, tennis courts, and basketball rings. The addition of a large covered area ensures this is a functional, all-year-round space for HPE classes.
  • Tennis & Netball Courts: Four outdoor, fully equipped courts that can be configured for either tennis or netball. 

Ovals & Field Sports

  • Main AFL & Cricket Ground: A premium turf pitch maintained by our dedicated grounds staff. It features a modern electronic scoreboard programmed for both AFL and Cricket. Backing onto a scenic nature reserve, the oval is also a popular space for students during recess and lunch.
  • Soccer Fields: Located near the Croagh Patrick campus, the College offers two well-maintained soccer ovals which incorporate a synthetic cricket pitch between the fields.
  • Old Boys' Oval: The John Cunningham Memorial Oval is the home ground for the St Patrick’s College Old Collegians Football Club, The Saints. Situated on the lower side of the main campus, it serves as a secondary ground for College sport.
  • Cricket Nets: Four practice nets are located adjacent to the main cricket ground for team training.
  • Athletics Training: To support our track and field programs, students have access to a throwing cage for discus and two semi-circles for shot put practice.

Off-Site Facilities

  • The Boat Shed: Located at Lindsay Street, Invermay, the St Patrick’s College Rowing Club operates from a newly renovated boat shed., offering full rowing facilities for our rowing program.
