St Patrick’s College maintains a long-standing tradition of excellence in music, providing a professional environment for students to develop their technical skills and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Music is as a powerful tool for self-expression and social connection. Our program is designed for students of all abilities, from beginners to advanced musicians, offering a structured pathway to cultivate talent and achieve success through dedication and practice.

Expert Tuition and Collaboration

Students learn in well-equipped music studios, guided by a team of expert teachers and tutors. The program is comprehensive, offering a range of ensembles and a rock band program that complements both private tuition and classroom learning.

Through these groups, students find valuable social opportunities to:

  • Connect with like-minded peers and work collaboratively toward shared goals.
  • Refine technical skills in a supportive, professional environment.
  • Build confidence through regular performance and public presentation.

Performance and Community

Performance is a core element of the program, allowing students to showcase their hard work and contribute to the cultural life of the College. Our musicians perform at a wide variety of functions, including:

  • College Events: Assemblies, liturgical celebrations, and major school productions.
  • Public Appearances: Community events and functions throughout Tasmania.
  • Growth Opportunities: Annual concerts and regional competitions.
